Just a little writing for today.
Hope to see you at the mall pond.

Just a little writing for today.
Across the courtyard
The flitting illumination of a struck match
Ends in the slow draw of an ember
Strutting up a slender cigarette
A wisp of smoke now--all that beamed brilliant
Hope to see you at the mall pond.

Music Thoughts
Howdy Friends,
Just doing some writing. Not sure how well this ties together but the flow feels good to me. A rough draft if you will.
From the instant the first note is played
I'm fully aware of the coming melody
Piercing like an arrow swift
a tune can move you
One place to another and other places I dare not tread
Music's occupation then...
Is it merely to provide a tune?
Because what would dancers do?
How about the band?
Lively hoods hang on a tune
Others I speak of, not on welfare, but more wayfaring
Ticket holders are these
At the flip of a switch or turn of a key they can be off
Journeying to places and times that move the soul

To Speak with Authority
Howdy Friends,
Recently I had a deep revelation come out of my 2 year old daughter. We were having one of those naptime events where she just would not cooperate. No matter my mode of operation, there was no way she was taking a nap, so I gave up. I lowered my head in defeat and let her out of her room. She plopped down on the couch next to me and said, "Is it not naptime anymore?" Looking her in the face I said, "I gave up on naptime today." I could see the chain reaction in her thoughts, almost like slow motion, as her face became very animated, and with authority she said, "You don't give up on me dad! You don't give up on me dad..... you're....... you're dad!" As the words sank into my being and began to resonate, my eyes became wide in amazement. Humbled I said, "I won't ever give up on you. I'm your dad and you're right, dads don't give up on their kids."
Wow.
Hope to see you at the mall pond,

September Beckoning
Howdy Friends,
I was inspired today on my morning walk and needed to write a little...
Just when I started getting use to this place my friends have decided to leave on a whim. Gangs of robins and starlings congregate on the field, readied for the flip of a switch. Whispers of fall already hang in the aspen as Autumn starts to make herself known.
That's all for now. Hope to see you at the mall pond!

Here We Go
It's weird, a little. Working more than half my life at a regular job and now, not. I find myself getting irritated really fast and it's hard to sit still. I guess not only will I be learning things at school but I'll be learning how to live, not at work. This is the biggest town I've ever lived in and that's taking some getting use to as well. Think I'm gonna go take a big dip in grace. Learn how to be me again.
For everyone that knows me, thanks for being patient with me. I really have appreciated all the encouragement.
Sincerely,
Link
P.S. Since I'm not at the green boxes any longer I guess I'll need a new benediction. Hope to see you at the mall pond I suppose. Yep.

Dude!
Howdy Friends,
I have a confession to make. It's been awhile... since I really got excited about food. (Not sure what that is all about. Maybe I've been too busy for my own good or something.) Anyways... Siri was in town yesterday and doing the shopping. Yeah for Mommy! Being a health conscious individual, she got me some BBQ sauce that doesn't contain any high fructose corn syrup. Well, I must say, "She done good!"
This sauce is like putting awesome in your mouth. It's like finding 40 bucks in the drier. It's like your 18 month-old daughter decided to use the potty for the rest of her life and take 4 hour naps everyday.
If I was a NASCAR, I'd have this sauce tattooed all over my body. If I was a piece of chicken, I'd only bathe in this sauce. I think I've been converted. Available @ Town and Country. Guy Fieri Barbeque Sauce Kansas City Smokey & Sweet.

Hogbows of Promise
Howdy Friends,
Last weekend I got to fish my first tail water fishery in Montana. Despite the large number of anglers present the water still seemed thick with and even smelled of fish. Down right hog infested. I was privileged to accompany friend and Parks Fly Shop pro-staff member Ben Jewell. He's an excellent fly tier, caster, hog lander, rock jumper, and all around excellent fisherman. He also a fishing machine and I'm not sure I've ever fished with his equal. Well done.
Fishing was great and we got into them right away. Shrimp and eggs was on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Using my 4wt all day I found it hard to land the fish but after some tips from Ben I was able to beach a few. I'm not gonna lie, my arm still hurt on Tuesday this week. Below are a few pictures.
It was fun! These are some of the biggest rainbows I've seen since coming out here. What a day! On the way home we got to see some other rainbows and even a funnel cloud. I got to experience my first thunderstorm of 2013 in Montana.
Thanks Ben for a great day on the water. Until then hope to see you below the green boxes.

The Passing
Howdy Friends,
I spent some time on the road last weekend and was watching spring start to overtake the country side. I got a little inspired to write.
Montana mourns the death of winter and the land is covered with tears. In it's dying, winter gives way to life, as pairs of geese dot the riverside and robins chatter in the willow once again. Hints of spring appear and lift the green veil as subtle as a sunrise.
That's all for now.
Hope to see you below the green boxes.

A Response of Sorts
Howdy Friends from the shop!
Recently I was reading Psalm 91 (NIV) and was motivated to write. I'm really not sure what it is that I wrote, maybe a paraphrase? Anyway, here's my response to reading Psalm 91. What's your response to this Psalm? What does it say to you? Email me and if you want I'll post your response.
Enjoy!

God’s house is
perfectly awesome and protected. You
don’t have to worry about anything when you’re there because you’re totally and
completely safe. He’s inviting you and
everyone to come live there with Him.
You can count on Him for this because He has never broken a promise, not
once.
We are under
attack! All around us there are threats
of death and destruction. Temptations
steal your mind away with a grin all the while plotting to kill you. Death!
Sickness! Catastrophe!
Panic! Everything we know and
worked for, laid to waste. Oh what can
we do!
Again I say, God’s
house is perfectly awesome and protected.
You can live there. He’s actually
inviting you to live with Him. You are
not doomed or rejected. He’s got angels
to help you, you know. He will hold your
hand when you need it. He loves you… even
likes you. You aren’t all by yourself in
life. You’re not alone. All of these scary things fade away when He rescues
you. “Come follow me”, He says. “Come get to know me. I will save you.”

Being Remade
Well the black-hole-of-time called Photoshop was at it again this week... I have heard it said that transformation is a process not a product. I couldn't help but think of this truth while I was working on the pictures below. The photos show the transformation from the original picture to the re-created picture in the end. Kind of fun to look at and think about. Enjoy.
Hope to see you below the green boxes,
